I signed up for Certification - What do I do now?
Login to the portal using the username and password emailed to you. If you have not received it within two business days of registration, please contact us. Once you login, read the welcome package and download your required Part 1 or 2 materials. Read through all technical requirements and advanced course materials. If learning by distance, register for your sessions using the Event Scheduler. Instructions are listed in your Advanced Course materials.
What does the 'Complete By' Date mean?
This is the date that you must have your Part 1 eLearning training completed BEFORE. Your course will reset at 11:59pm on the evening before. As a reminder, you must complete all Part 1 eLearning modules within the 30 day timeframe. There is approximatley 3 full days of online training to be completed so schedule your time accordingly.
I accidentally let my Part 1 eLearning course reset. What do I do?
Unfortunatley, completing the modules within 30 days is a requirement from the JHSC Certification Training Standards. If you have not completed the modules within the timeframe and the course has reset, there is nothing that Dunk & Associates can do. This reset is dictated by the Chief Prevention Officer and the MLITSD. You will need to restart your course from the beginning. However, there is no financial penalty for re-starting the course.
I can't hear the voiceover in the course
Double-check that your speakers are turned on and that the volume is turned up. Under your profile you also have a setting to auto-play course voiceovers. Turn the setting on to make sure that all voiceovers auto-play for you. We do not recommend turning it off, as you will have to press play on each page to hear the voiceover.
I registered for in-class or distance training, why are there courses under "Training"?
Your courses are still provided to you as complimentary resources for your training to refer back to. Your instructor will upload your progress to these courses. After you have completed your Certification training, you can login and refer back to your course materials if needed! To make your training fun, we've also hidden some things and you may wish to come back later and download these 'gems'. You will have access to your courses for one year from date of purchase.
I cannot meet all technical requirements for distance learning. Can I still participate?
Unfortunatley you must be able to meet the technical requirements.
I am having a problem with the site, such as a page is not loading or I can't complete an activity in a course
If you are experiencing any issues with the site, try clearing your cache, closing your browser and then re-opening. This may help to resolve any issues. If you are in a course, your place will be book-marked and you will return to your place. If you are in the middle of a test, you will need to re-start the test when you return.
Where do I find my list of assigned courses?
When you login, all your outstanding requirements will be highlighted on your dashboard. Click on the dashboard widget to complete any outstanding tasks OR click on the training item in your left menu. When you click on a course, you will find all modules located below the course. Anything outstanding will be highlighted for you.
Who do I talk to if I have a question about the content of course, or I require one-on-one assistance with a certification-related question?
Qualified health and safety professionals are available to answer your questions. Please email your certification-related questions to cert@systems24-7.com. You can also call us at 1-866-754-8839.
I need to cancel a session I registered for.
If you need to cancel a registration, you will need to do so at least two business days prior to the scheduled webinar by email to cert@systems24-7.com. Because seats are limited, failure to cancel within an appropriate timeframe will result in a cancellation/no-show fee if we are unable to fill your place. Not showing up or providing us with enough notice takes away a spot from someone who may need it.
For sessions delivered via webianr, two days prior to the scheduled webinar, you will receive an additional email from our webinar system with the link to join the webinar on the day. You will need this link in order to attend. These emails will come from Adobe Connect. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder or contact Dunk & Associates.
I didn't receive my confirmation emails from Adobe Connect for my distance sessions
If you have not received any notification from Adobe Connect 5 days prior to your scheduled training, please contact us at cert@systems24-7.com.
How do I request an accommodation?
We are here to help! If you indicated on your order form you require an accommodation, we will reach out directly to discuss how we can accommodate you. Otherwise, please contact us at cert@systems24-7.com.
How do I install Adobe Connect for my distance learning?
We recommend installing the Adobe Connect app vs. running it in your internet browser for a more seamless experience. To install it, please click here.
Before your first distance session, we also recommend that you conduct an Adobe Connect Test. You can do this by clicking here. Please ensure you meet all technical requirements for distance learning, including a quiet learning space, headphones, webcamera, microphone and good internet connection.
